Female Rottweiler

We've come to a really difficult and sad decision to rehome Dottie, our Rottweiler. I am confident we can find her a loving and suitable home and will not settle for any less. She is 2.5 years old and has been spayed. Dottie is an extremely loving and sensitive dog, who will truly be your best friend. She has huge amounts of energy and will happily walk miles, she also loves a chill and a snooze on the sofa. She has never shown aggression towards people or children, in fact she loves children (will try to lick them!) but is NOT suited to a home with small children as she is boisterous and will easily knock them over. She has lived with another dog previously and gets on well with others but as she gets jealous and will push other dogs out the way to ensure she gets the most attention, it would need to be a more dominant dog Dottie can sometimes be protective when she is on a lead when meeting other dogs. Off the lead she is friendly but does not greet appropriately (runs at dogs, doesn't respect space and thinks she is small). This has caused issues as it scares smaller dogs (and their owners). Her recall is good but we always carry treats just in case. All of these areas need further training. Dottie needs a lot of exercise to keep her calm. She is a boisterous dog and needs a firm leader who is experienced with large breeds. She is over 40kg and is therefore very strong. She walks well on her halti lead but without it she will pull. She has had all her vaccinations, is flea and worm treated regularly and has been neutered. Dottie is completely house trained, shows no separation anxiety and is happy to be left for a few hours.
