Role Summary:

Our client is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract. This hybrid role, based at Ansty Park, offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the Record-to-Report (R2R) process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee core Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and SOX compliance.Review and approve VAT returns, payroll journals, e-payable reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline.Manage the monthly close process, including fixed asset reviews, capital expenditure analysis, and intercompany netting.Provide guidance to junior and GL specialists, acting as accounting subject-matter expert and R2R manager back-up.Partner with global site finance teams to meet SLA commitments and resolve escalated issues efficiently.Analyse and report key financial KPIs to management, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.Drive process optimisation initiatives to enhance accuracy, control, and operational efficiency across finance functions.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
