Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to consider me as your tutor. I am an Astrophysics graduate from Queens University Belfast and qualified secondary science teacher who is passionate about all things science, maths and engineering.

I absolutely adore teaching in a classroom, but for the last 5 years I have almost entirely given my time to 1 to 1 tutoring and coaching. Classroom learning is the best way to reach many students at once but sometimes it takes that extra focus that 1 to 1 settings provide to get the best from a student and allow their exam results to reflect their full potential.

When I first entered the world of tutoring I didn't consider how the reasons for seeking a tutor could be so numerous. To date I have worked with learners who's situation doesnt allow them to access school, learners who are trying to improve their grade and adults revisiting their school exams as part of a career change to name a few. I have loved the unique challenge of every single one and endevoured to design a bespoke learning plan for each that allows them to acheive their personal targets.

I have had sucess working with students studying Biomechanics as part of a physiotherapy masters, Undergradutes students in video game design, a student of optometry studying the physical properties of lenses and a number of students studying non maths subjects that contain maths components.

Maths and Science literacy are two things that I am incredibly passionate about. I consider it a privillege to have been able to work with so many students through tutorful or indepentently to play a small part behind the scenes in their successes.
