With over 10 years of teaching experience—predominantly in Year 6—I bring extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum and a proven track record of helping children achieve results above the national average in SATs.

I believe all children have the capability to achieve well in their studies, and it is the duty of a teacher to find the right teaching and learning approach. A non-negotiable for me is for my sessions to take place in a classroom environment, where there is access to resources such an interactive board, and where children feel comfortable. From my personal experience, if misconceptions are not addressed early, or children are not persistently challenged, this can be problematic in the long-run, hence I only specialise in tuition for primary age children, as this is where I feel my support can be most impactful.

About Me:
Currently I teach in Year 6 full-time at a large, 3-form primary school so my availability is limited. I take immense pride in my work and have high expectations for every child I teach. I know the impact I can make when children are given the right guidance. I strongly believe that strong academic foundations are essential—when children master these early skills, they can truly flourish as they grow older.
I currently lead on mathematics across the school I work at, overseeing curriculum delivery for approximately 750 pupils, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for all. I have worked across a range of year groups throughout my career so I have a strong understanding of the curriculum and the expected standards.

Classroom/school environment

Year 6 SATs preparation – Experienced Year 6 teacher

Maths and English mastery – subject leadership experience in a large primary school

Small group tuition – no more than 4 pupils per class to maintain quality and targeted teaching
