We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Wellingborough. This is a varied and autonomous role where you'll play a key part in improving production quality, developing and maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Location: Wellingborough

Hours: Monday – Friday (role flexibility available)

Salary: 35,000 – 40,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Duties:

Develop, write, and maintain quality–related documentation, including SOPs and inspection proceduresAnalyse production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvementConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance and consistencySupport internal and external audits, ensuring all quality systems meet required standardsProduce and interpret data reports to drive quality performance improvementsAssist in staff training on quality procedures and best practicesContribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and product qualityThe ideal candidate must:

Have proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally within plastics extrusion or similar sectorsHold a degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Quality EngineeringHave a strong understanding of quality management systems and process controlPossess excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skillsHave experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation managementBe an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively across departmentsBe proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software would be beneficialBenefits:
