Are you an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in civil engineering works?

Carrington West is partnering with a leading contractor delivering self-delivery and subcontracted civils packages across infrastructure projects in the region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team pricing high-value tenders covering earthworks, highways, drainage, utilities, pipelines and reinforced concrete structures.

The Role

You will develop accurate and competitive estimates for multiple civil engineering tenders, collaborating with Bid, Operations and Planning teams to ensure scope, methodology and programme are fully aligned from first principles through to submission.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender requirements and scope, attend site visits, and collaborate with Bid and Operational Support TeamsCoordinate with the Estimating Buyer on material pricing and subcontractor quotationsWork with Operations and the Planner to align resources, productions, programme and construction methodologySubmit technical queries for tender clarity and review client pricing schedules for scope alignmentConduct take-offs for Bills of Quantities or Activity Schedules as requiredPrepare estimates for self-delivery works and assess specialist subcontract quotationsDraft bid assumptions, qualifications and exclusions, and compile the project risk registerPrepare reports and present Estimating slides at Tender Reviews for Director sign offFinalise pricing documents for submission, for example BOQs, Schedule of Cost Components and Daywork RatesAttend post-tender meetings, respond to pricing queries and track submission updatesPrepare pricing handover files and brief Operations on tender detailsUndertake site visits on live projects to review delivery against tender allowances About You

Proven experience estimating civil engineering projects including earthworks, roadworks, kerbing, footpaths, sewers, drainage, pipelines, concrete structures and utility installationsProficient in Excel and experienced with estimating software, for example Conquest, Causeway or CandyFamiliar with contract terms and conditions, including NEC 4 and JCT ICE, and comfortable with measurement methods and rate inclusionsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness, with clear written and verbal communication Why Apply?
