Project Overview

We are seeking experienced Slingers/Banksmen to support vessel operations in Middlesbrough, commencing 11th November 2025 (date subject to change – may be earlier). This is a long–term project with approximately one vessel every 10 – 13 days. Various Vessel is coming and out throughput the year .

The role involves assisting with offloading operations using the vessel's own crane, operating on continuous 7–day / 7–night shifts on a 12–hour rotation.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside vessel crew and site supervisors to manage safe lifting operationsSling and signal cement and other materials during vessel dischargeEnsure safe use of vessel cranes during operationsFollow strict safety protocols and site proceduresMaintain clear communication with supervisors and team membersReport any incidents, hazards, or unsafe practices immediately

Candidate Requirements

Valid certification (one of the following):NPROS – Slinger BanksmanCSCS – Slinger SignallerOPITO qualificationPrevious experience in port/marine or heavy lifting environments (preferred)Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict operational proceduresPhysically fit and able to work 12–hour shifts in a port environmentFlexibility to work rotational shifts (days/nights, weekdays/weekends)

Shifts: 12 hours (Days & Nights)Rotation: Up to 14 days on / 2 days off

Pay Rates

Weekday Days (Mon–Fri): 16/hourNights (Mon–Thu): 18/hourFriday Night: 20/hourSaturday Day: 18/hourSaturday Night: 20/hourSunday Day: 18/hourSunday Night: 20/hour
