I have M.E. and I've been a scooter and powerchair user since 2012. When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs.

Serviced, checked, cleaned and tested. In excellent condition with just some minor marks from storage and normal use and a small (repaired) crack in one of the plastic rear mudguards. SHOWS JUST 43 MILES. Runs great and looks great in its bright red finish. Complete with mains charger. FITTED WITH A FULL SET OF 5 NEW SLA BATTERIES. NOTE: LEGAL SPEED LIMITS FOR SCOOTERS IN THE UK ARE 4MPH ON THE PAVEMENT AND 8MPH ON THE ROAD. THIS SCOOTER HAS THE FULL 15MPH TOP SPEED WHICH CAN BE USED OFF ROAD OR ON PRIVATE ROADS.



Veleco Scooters are simply incredible value for money, with great specifications and great performance.



The ZT63 listed here is just £1600 new. There really isn't anything on the market to compete with it at this price.



Is it the equal of scooters from the big manufacturers like Pride and Drive?



In some ways the Veleco is actually superior; in others it's not.



I'll explain.



The Veleco is very fast and powerful and it's both on and off road capable. The large diameter wheels and tyres give it excellent rough road and off road capability.



It's also very strong; it will take users up to a class leading 199kgs.



You get proper cast alloy wheels, great suspension, including full 'motorbike style' telescopic front forks, plus a very effective front disc brake.



The big 60 volt battery pack gives the ZT63 terrific range too, with a genuine 20+ miles being possible, obviously depending on user weight and terrain.



In terms of specification and performance, the ZT63 is pretty much unbeatable.



AND



Doesn't it look great! The ZT63 is about as far away from most people's idea of what a mobility scooter looks like as it's possible to be.



This is a striking looking machine and I guarantee that instead of the usual 'poor you' looks that you get from the able bodied when they see you on a 'traditional' scooter, with the ZT16 you'll have people asking if they can 'have a go'!



The other thing the ZT16 is, is FUN!



Most scooters will get you from A to B, but the ZT16 is a genuine blast to use. The powerful motor and brakes make it a very quick and very entertaining machine to use and that's just on the 8mph setting. On the 15mph setting it really is FAST! It feels more like riding an electric motorbike than a mobility scooter.



No-one wants to have to use a mobility scooter, but if we do, then why not have one that's fun to go out on and you actually look forward to using.



Comfort is terrific too; the suspension and the large diameter wheels really do work well together, smoothing out lumps and bumps and giving a great ride.



SO, what isn't as good as some other scooters?



I don't think the quality of materials is quite as high.



The main parts are good; the motor, suspension and wheels, but the plastics are a bit less durable and the finish on the chassis isn't quite as good.



If you plan on leaving your scooter outside in the elements, or drive it carelessly, then a Veleco will probably only last you a few years. But if you look after and drive it responsibly and sensibly then it will be fine.



So, a great scooter for careful owners, with striking looks and great capability; terrific value when new; unbeatable with a good reconditioned model like the one listed here

probably the most fun you can have on a mobility scooter!
