Management Accountant

Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing distributors within the horticultural sector. With continued expansion and ambitious plans ahead, they are seeking a dedicated finance professional to take ownership of the finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving organisation, working closely with Directors and senior stakeholders to support and drive financial performance.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day finance operations while delivering meaningful financial insight to support business growth. This is a hands-on position, ideal for an ambitious individual seeking long-term progression with a rapidly developing company.

Main Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes.

Producing meaningful management information and commentary for Directors.

Supporting strategic business decisions through financial analysis and insight.

Overseeing payroll processing and associated reporting.

Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end duties.

Working closely with operational teams to understand and support business performance.

Running all financial transactions and payments.

Continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Required

Previous experience in a similar role

Part- or fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience

Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Confident working in a fast-paced and growing business environment

Payroll experience essential

Experience within the horticultural or distribution sector is beneficial but not essential
